AI-generated NPC dialogue: more alive, or less authentic?

More developers are experimenting with AI to give NPCs more varied conversations and reactions. In theory, it could make game worlds feel more dynamic, with characters responding differently to each player.

But some players feel that AI dialogue can sound repetitive, unnatural, or simply lack the personality of carefully written characters. As this technology becomes more accessible, the debate around its place in games is only growing.

Would you rather have more interactive AI-driven NPCs or stick with traditional dialogue? 👇

Good question…. I prefer ai generated ones, however, I totally feel

people who might miss humanity in those npc interactions, even tho sometimes it is limited to just 2 options 😅

I don’t know how you can make a game like rdr2 and use ai for npc. It is the straight way to ruin a game and a company in general. Hope people will finally understand, AI is good, but not for everything😂🤣
